Weaver Biography

I grew up watching my mother knit, sew and embroider lovely things for me, all the while being told the one thing she longed to do was to weave. So I came to think of weaving as the ultimate craft. Mom started weaving and spinning in 1990, and I followed in 1995, learning from books and the Internet fora. After an annoyingly slow and deliberate (and continuing) journey, I've come to know two things: mere one lifetime is hardly enough to weave to one's heart's content, and that there is little that's new under the sun when it comes to weaving.

I am self-taught, but I have indulged in some wonderful workshop, including:
Randall Darwall (USA) "How to Make a Good Scarf Better", 2006
Bonnie Inouye (USA) Complex Weave workshop, 2002
Kay Faulkner (Australia) Double Weave workshop, 2001
