Index: How I Make a Shawl

We weavers are too often asked the one question: "How long does it take for you to make a (insert-item) like this?" In this series of posts, I tried to chronicle how I made the first two shawls in late 2006 from one warp in preparation for my first Exhibit(ion) in 2007.

Part 1: Planning/Designing
Part 2: Measuring the Warp
Part 3: Dressing the Loom - Though the Heddles
Part 4: Dressing the Loom - Winding and Through the Reed
Part 5: Switching on the Loom
Part 6: Finally the Weaving
Part 7: Fringing, Embellishing, Wet Finishing, Pressing and Drying
The Two Candidates
