I wouldn't even be surprised if he had gazillion plates made and used the same until his last ones just a few years ago.Meghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01350447919000146804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-61624082880284327782009-02-04T07:25:00.000+13:002009-02-04T07:25:00.000+13:00Must be ages old with a phone number like thatMust be ages old with a phone number like thatjbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02360120000195750160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-22149518967740549912009-01-03T20:40:00.000+13:002009-01-03T20:40:00.000+13:00Yes, and you were watching while I'm assembling it...Yes, and you were watching while I'm assembling it.
Those leathers are "as-is" in your plastic bag, somewhere.Ben Nakagawahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01362171644695652901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-58558599401901649832009-01-03T14:56:00.000+13:002009-01-03T14:56:00.000+13:00Ben, did you tell me that at the time? Did you go and use it for something else???

Sonya, I'm not confident about my vocabulary, so I'll try some new pics soonish.Meghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01350447919000146804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-11120916707270232502009-01-03T10:30:00.000+13:002009-01-03T10:30:00.000+13:00"a couple of sheets of leather" is actually a thin..."a couple of sheets of leather" is actually a thin hard-board cut to the shape to fit. Which is smaller in diameter but a square hole to match the shaft and oiled it.Ben Nakagawahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01362171644695652901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-82260527776787836022009-01-02T20:31:00.000+13:002009-01-02T20:31:00.000+13:00Thank you! It was the wire cable in your first photo that I was getting confused by - it seemed to fit nicely how you've got it, but the instructions say to wrap it once, with the 'once' crossed out and 'twice' handwritten in, so I thought three times might be the problem. I have got it going around three times because it seemed to be the right length for that.

So in theory when I lift the release lever it should loosen the warp beam tension enough that I can move it on? Or is there something else I'm missing. If it should just work then I will try shortening the vinyl cable and see if I can get that to work.

I didn't even know that that front pawl was supposed to stay up, it doesn't on mine. If it annoys me too much I'll probably just drill a hole to put a pin in to hold it up.

Glad you found your plate - it's not very big or exciting, but it's nice to know it's there.Sonyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05010349116635664782noreply@blogger.com
