If you bake custard, you know that the cups are supposed to sit in a pan of water. Today I forgot the water. All I can do is laugh when things like this happen, because they happen frequently for me. Like when I forgot to peel the apples, once, when I made apple pie. Or when I forget to turn off the oven after something has finished cooking. Or similar dumb forgetfulnesses. Ahh, aging.
