But also because they are so black and shiny; they are SO wrong. I will never recover from the demise of my favourite sweatshirt - the one I pinched off S when we were still students - and comfy boots, well, those are irreplaceable.Callyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16773261651916497007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-3995330643007477472015-07-25T18:25:38.117+12:002015-07-25T18:25:38.117+12:00Boots update: I went to three stores today, the fi...Boots update: I went to three stores today, the first being where I got the original pair and they haven't done this style in years. Strange considering this is a big part of New Zealand national costume, at least for men. Second store had grown-up sizes, but the tops were synthetic and the soles didn't have proper grips, but only wavy, as in normal shoes. The third store had them, but in black not brown. I think brown leather is prettier, but still leather tops, grippy soles, and the same Children's Size 4. I'll apply some bee's wax and hope to get out tomorrow unless we have rain like it's forecast. Although looking at other hellebore nuts' pictures on the FB page, I certainly don't get as numerous flower stalks as everybody else. I'm hoping as my plants mature, I'll get more. So far, I'm having good fun pollinating a couple of times a week. So far, not cross-pollinating on purpose, but trying to get more dark purples/slates. The red ones are super good self-pollinating. I have a couple of plants that produce beautiful leaves but don't flower... Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01914350639398715648noreply@blogger.com
