Mom and I both tally what we did in a given day in the evening and rejoice when we've done much and get frustrated/disappointed when we don't, so in a way this is one path to our recovery. But make no mistake, we're not rushing and we're really not pushing. Yet. At least not me. And very opportunely, (not!) hay fever season has started so I have all kinds of excuses, but I feel better if I weave or weed or tidy the house/garden, so I better get to it. Same as Mom.

Which is not to say I don't agree with you or Sandra - I know what you mean, and so I'm not pushing myself, but there is something in moving the body that revitalizes the mind or at least clears the worries temporarily and I think this is why Mom and I feel better having done things. If you get my drift. Plus the fact that as we age, these things take longer and longer. Just love yourself and be where(ver) you are now...eventually you'll be in a different place psychically/emotionally/creatively. Just be here, now. That's really all you can do anyway, so why fight it? xoCate Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04079028386218370915noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-15003791252323128302013-10-10T16:23:47.746+13:002013-10-10T16:23:47.746+13:00Yes, and there are the letters. Then I found this this weekend. http://www.vangoghletters.org/vg/

I'm not a fan of reading long things on the screen, but I may make an exception to this. But I'd like to read a few more books to get more visual understanding of his work and environment before I get stuck into it. But I'm looking forward to it. That would have to be the definitive version. And yet, I'm sure he would have put a little spin on it. Here's hoping good luck has nothing to do with how many ears get thrown our way!margery meyers haberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16735988448243388420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-4849564030165438952013-10-10T14:45:17.536+13:002013-10-10T14:45:17.536+13:00Hello, ladies. I used to be able to do THAT with my eyes closed and while speaking to three people, almost! It's been hard, and you need to give yourself time to get past that. Please be easier on yourself, and give the process time to complete (or at least move in the direction of completion). I lost my mother in 2008, and I still sometimes have to give myself a time-out to think about her in a calm way. Time! It takes time.

I had to laugh about the yen wallet and the NZD wallet - I do the same when I travel, and when I get home have trouble remembering which one is supposed to be in my handbag...Sandra Rudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04691078578557110217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27254015.post-80023023204138411192013-10-10T14:34:05.998+13:002013-10-10T14:34:05.998+13:00A lot to take in here Meg, but all interesting. I don't think I've ever been away from Australia long enough to be really confused but I always noticed when I went back to work after being overseas that I had to really concentrate to get my passwords and similar things right. Lovely tree photo! I must go back and read your posts. So much to read, so little time. Trite but true. xxxCarolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01914350639398715648noreply@blogger.com
